3rd Lesson =)

Finished memorizing the Hiragana and Katakana? =)
I hope you did.

Now, let's go to the next stage.

Greeting is essential in our life.
We use greeting words everyday in our daily life like Good morning, Good afternoon and so on.

So, let's learn the Japanese greeting.

あいさつ (A-i-sa-tsu) = Greeting

The following 3 are formal greetings.

1. In the morning, [morning = あさ (A-sa)]

おはよございます (O-ha-yo-go-za-i-ma-su) = Good morning

2. In the afternoon, [afternoon = ひる (Hi-ru)]

こんにちは (Ko-n-ni-chi-wa) = Good afternoon

3. At night, [night = よる (Yo-ru)]

こんばんは (Ko-n-ba-n-wa) = Good evening/night

Let's step into the everyday life's normal greetings.

When leaving,

さようなら (Sa-yo-u-na-ra) = Good bye

Before you go to bed,

おやすみなさい (O-ya-su-mi-na-sa-i) = Good night

When you greet your friends, ask :

おげんきですか (O-ge-n-ki-de-su-ka) = How do you do?

Then answer back :

げんきです (Ge-n-ki-de-su) = I’m fine.

When you wanna say thanks,

ありがとうございます (A-ri-ga-to-u-go-za-i-ma-su) = Thank you

Then reply the person :

どういたしまして (Do-u-i-ta-shi-ma-shi-te) = You’re welcome

I guess the belows are kinda general greetings, you can use it anywhere and anytime. =)

すみません (Su-mi-ma-se-n) = Excuse me.

ごめんなさい (Go-me-n-na-sa-i) = I’m sorry.

So, that's all for our 3rd lesson, any questions please ask me.

Arigatougozaimasu !!

2nd Lesson !!

Still remember the Hiragana and Katagana?
I hope you guys memorize them well. =)

Ok.
Here's the advanced Hiragana.

Remember the Ka, Ki, Ku, Ke, Ko, Sa, Shi, Su, Se, So and so on?
If you add another 2 dots at the top right of each words, the pronounciation will be different.

Ga が Gi ぎ Gu ぐ Ge げ Go ご
Za ざ Ji じ Zu ず Ze ぜ Zo ぞ
Da だ Di ぢ Du づ De で Do ど
Ba ば Bi び Bu ぶ Be べ Bo ぼ
Pa ぱ Pi ぴ Pu ぷ Pe ぺ Po ぽ

See the purple words? The top right has a little bubble sign right?
Try not to confuse between the words with Ba and Pa, or Bi and Pi or so on.

The followings are the combination of 2 words especially with Ya, Yu and Yo (や, ゆ and よ).

Did you realize the words や, ゆ and よ are smaller than other words?
If you wanna pronounce the 2 words as 1 word, you have to write the 2nd word smaller compared to the 1st one, this is the principle, I'm just following it too. =P

Now, here's come the advanced Katakana.
It nearly has the same concept as Hiragana, just the words and meanings are different. =)

Ga ガ Gi ギ Gu グ Ge ゲ Go ゴ
Za ザ Ji ジ Zu ズ Ze ゼ Zo ゾ
Da ダ Di ヂ Du ヅ De デ Do ド
Ba バ Bi ビ Bu ブ Be ベ Bo ボ

Please, please, please memorize these all.
It's not that difficult actually.
Chinese language is far more harder than Japanese language 'coz it has unlimited writings and words.
For Japanese language, it has Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji.
Kanji is like Chinese words, so, it's harder of course.
Japanese words were using Chinese words as their reference to create their own Japanese words.

Long long time ago, Japan didn't have their own writings or words, only speaking.
One day, they went to China and were attracted by the Chinese words, so they took the words back to their country as references.
They changed the Chinese words into other strange words, but the Chinese style was still there.
Hiragana and Katakana are the changed words from the Chinese words.
Kanji is a clone with the Chinese words, just the pronounciations are in Japanese, not Chinese.
Since Chinese words are hard, so, while you're learning Kanji, is like learning forever, it's enough for us to know the necessary Kanji words only rather than the difficult words with deep meanings.
Well, you'll learn Kanji after some lessons, chill =)

PS : Good luck on memorizing all the Hiragana and Katakana ♥
